Fantasy in 15mm, recommendations?
« on: February 29, 2024, 07:36:15 AM »

What companies should I look at for monsters, fantasy characters etc?

15mm will be better for me due to storage, transport etc.

Thanks for any help!

Have a look at "Splintered Light Miniatures", "Copplestone Casting's Barbarica 15mm", "DemonWorld 15mm", "Khurasan Miniatures"

Was this mostly aimed at RPG's or anything in particular you want to find?

I agree with Maceface, those are all great suppliers of 15mm fantasy figures, especially if you are looking for packs that have few duplicates.

Magister Militum is running down its stocks but still has a lot of stuff for sale. The company has two 15mm fantasy brands: Chariot ('true 15mm') and Blood Dawn (very characterful and chunky 18mm - great for monsters that should be big in 15mm, like lizardmen and GW ogre-not-goblin orcs):

Alternative Armies also has lots of good stuff in various ranges, including some nicely understated Tolkien-esque orcs and a new range of lizard men.

I can agree with the others.

Some EU based ones would be:

https://www.mirliton.it/

Also some 28mm Monsters fit even better with 15mm miniaturs.

For quality I don’t think you can better the Demonworld range by Ral Partha Europe. They took virtually zero time to clean up - very crisp and well-sculpted too.

I have the Copplestone barbarians too and they are exceptional in terms of the character each one has at this small scale.
My armies:
- Henry VIII's army (WIP) 15mm
- Ancient Germans (28mm)
- Ancient Belgae (Gauls with German allies) (28mm)
- Massilian Greeks (Greeks and Gallic mercenaries/subjects) (28mm)
- A few EI Romans (28mm)
- Handful of WW2 British (15mm)
- A load of old 1993-1999ish Warhammer Orcs and Goblins
