Bring me the head of Commander Rossum!!!
« on: December 02, 2009, 02:39:32 AM »
I ran the 'Graduation Day' scenario for Fantastic Worlds using the Magellan Map that Rich offers (at a very affordable price :D ).

In the scenario the player of the invaders rolls to see what the mission (and thusly their victory conditions) is for the game. My roll determined that the aliens were sent from the future to kill one of the Star Command characters before they bring down the destruction of their race. Convoluted? Don't watch Star Trek

Fortunately for Commander Rossum her beau/Security Chief Lance Tryon (DA TA DA DA!!!) headed off the invaders in the cargo bay...

He bravely fought the aliens at the breach for the entire game, suffering through multiple trident stab wounds not to mention Science Officer Hallas (pictured below) venting the air from the room not once but twice!

Meanwhile Commander Rossum and Engineer Moraviin bravely fought off those invaders who did make it up to the next level in a cramped fight outside the crew chambers...

Commander Rossum it seems is a master at a new martial arts technique that is based on River Dance. Whilst her arms stayed at her side she swiftly defeated the aliens with low kicks to their shins (all her hits the entire game was in the legs. A feat I've never witnessed before).

The action ended in the cargo bay when Rossum came down to deliver Tryon his real true love, his ray gun Betsy. (Ok. truth is he was trying to get to Betsy the entire game and just 'got stuck in' with those pesky invaders, but that's not as good a story)

Despite the invaders best attempts to disable the Commander and get her off the ship, the combination of Lance Tryon's (DA TA DA DA!) heroics and her hi-stepping karate kicks saved the day for Star Command!!!

The Players

Audrey Ewing as Cadet Commander Jeannette Rossum
Jerry Frazee as Cadet Engineer Moraviin
Sean Bryan as Cadet Science Officer (Two Head) Hallas
Lanse Tryon as (DA TA DA DA!) Lance Tryon
Marc Anderson as the hapless invaders.

Very nice Mo.  Sounds like a fun game.  Is there going to be an instructional video on this new Riverdance-Fu?   lol
