"So that Nazi, Leo Trotski, and Ilya Muromets walk into a beach bar..."

 lol

Outrageous. Simply outrageous. I wonder if they later get saved by a time-traveling Putin.

What I like most is the pre-teen childrens book look of it ;D

It surely cannot live upto the promise of that cover?

The two names at the top are Igor Podgorskij and Dmitrij Romanovskij, but I'm not getting any useful Google his on any of them. It's a start, at least, and like you I'd really like to know what this book is about!

So...using Google Images to search for more hits on that cover, I came across several Russian pages that talk about the book. Google Translate doesn't help much, but I got the ISBN: 5-93556-814-4

After that, I searched again until I found a site with a description...in Russian. Using Google again, it says:

Quote
Title: I'm going on "you"
Author: Igor A. Podgursky, Dmitry Romantovsky
Series: Belyanin and Company
Publisher: St. Petersburg., ARMADA: "Publishing Alpha Book"
ISBN: 5-93556-814-4

Description:
A lot of the realities in this world, but not all of them favorable to the common people. A different and tries to get out of bed predestined history. The more that the local vermin long and diligently muddies the water in every conceivable space-time continuum. And besides that muddies, so more and pours it into the hands of universal evil.

And then what?
And then for the swords, revolvers, and an elite squad pitchforks taken correction realities of the Committee of the Global Security Star of Russia. Ilya of Murom, Nikolai Kuznetsov, Ivan Susanin and his friends are always alert and on guard imperial interests. This dashing guys in the teeth the most desperate and dangerous job. And here's an American bookstore that sells it:

I'm not sure that any book written by human hand could live up to the promise of that cover.

So Westphalia Chris wins a gold star for correctly identifying Ilya Muromets!

But where have all our Russian-speaking members disappeared to?
Back from the dead, almost.

This book is part of a trilogy which also includes these books:

"On the land and at sea"

"They fought for reality"

I have not read these books so I can not judge their contents. But they were published in the series, which is usually published a humorous fiction.

the book's title suggests a reference to a quote from Sviatoslav I of Kiev  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sviatoslav_I_of_Kiev
"I want to come at you!" (Old East Slavic: "хощю на вы ити") This phrase is used in modern Russian (usually misquoted as "Иду на вы") to denote an unequivocal declaration of one's intentions.
