I've finished painting my human forces for Skull & Crown's Queen Victoria's Robot Wars.  Still need to paint up the mounts & cannon so the Dragoons & crewmen won't be at loose ends.

Interesting project. The laser cut soldiers reminds me of other ages, but with a technological bit inside (the laser, of course)... cute!

You might consider drilling the hole a smidge deep, inserting the magnet, sealing with liquid wood, and paint as you will...
