Great Delta! Of course flat walls will give better definitions and you can avoid layer marks. We considered it at the begining of the campaign and then we discarded it based on what other companies do (like Via Ludibunda or Printablescenery). But maybe we should reconsider the issue for the future projects (which are coming for sure).

Thanks again guys!

As one of the lads Scurv mentioned I must say it's very positive to see a company completely willing to listen to suggestions. I think we have all seen companies handle criticism with less grace before.  ::)

I agree! I tried to reason with another company yesterday, they're wasting a staggering amount of money on unusual workflows for their products, it was impossible to even transmit a single bit of information.
Not to mention other companies that just recently posted here on forum.

It's good to see that you're willing to improve to a higher standard! ^_^

Cheers
Jack

We try to keep in mind that we are creating something for other people rather than for us, so what those other people say is what maters. Specially when things are said in a constructive way. Of course it does not mean we are going to do everything other people suggest, as it would be absolutely impossible to satisfy them all and in the end is our call, but we are happy to share and to learn! I better go back to work guys! These are hard days for us, so that next freebie will take a while, but it will come eventually ;)

The part with the constructive critcism is the most important to me in this case! I know a lot of Hobbyboards but there are extremly few that have a more constructive and helpfull comunity as the LAF is has! Thats the reason why I stayed here in the end!

In fact your professionalism sold me on the fact you will have something tight very soon and you are worth doing business with.

This.  ;)
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

Hi everybody! After your advice from previous days, we have been modifying some of our models. The first one is the elevated road, which we think is something really worth it and we were quite happy with how it looks on the table. So, following your comments we have rotated the model so now it prints vertically to avoid the ugly layer lines as much as possible. Now the lines are much less present and it is a real improvement. We have also modified the base, instead of being a single print now it consists of two prints, one for the lower part and another one for the upper part, which saves some material and reduces a bit the printing times. Little by little we will improve all the models that need a serious revision. Here is a quick look on the improved 3D model for printing. We still have to modify our STL in the web store but that will be during this week, as we have our admin working on it. We just wanted to share the news with you.

We have also tuned our La Dorada model, and here you can see a painted version.

And to finish some of our "obstacles" to use in skirmish games.

Little by little we hope to achieve that excellence level we were talking about. We want to thank you once more for your feedback guys, you are really great!
Thanks!

Matías

Great! True about the girders, question is how many parts can we offer separated before clients send us to hell? You as 3D printer users have no trouble at all with having to put things together? Because initially we sacrificed some of our models to offer them in a single print, and we are slowly realising that offering them split into many more parts seems to be THE real deal. And it is even easier for us, for the meshes and pretty much for everything to have the parts separated. Hell,it even allows much more customization, which is one of our main concerns, offering our clients the possibility to combine endlessly.

Advice on printing is always welcome! It turns out some of the screws in one of our nozzles were loose and we had not realised! That's why some of the models have much more marked lines than other models! And we will give a try placing the printers on the floor for better printings.

Thanks again Scurv! Your help is more than welcome!

I personally would rather more parts and a better print than less parts and a lesser quality print. I think though I might fall into the far end of the spectrum with that.

I agree with this also, but I have also found there are owners of 3d printers who want whatever they print to be ready to use. I'd say that within the gaming market most are prepared do a little glueing work themselves.

Hi again! After some weeks of work we want to show you our modular system. These modules can be combined and stacked at will, with exchangeable floors and roofs to create many different designs. As of today and thanks to your advice we are modifying them, because some models were not optimized for printing and some of the details in the walls were not well printed. Thanks a lot for your feedback guys!

Good gaming everyone!

Very colourful......that set is looking really good.

I can highly recommend these models, great details and perfect modularity, the pieces fit together perfectly and give great variety for stacking.

The plastic used can be cut and drilled to allow conversions, extra damage or hatches etc to be created.

@Scurv, the boat is ready! About the rest, we are revising the files over the coming months and we will update them each time we have one ready. And of course whatever file you buy you'll get the improved version as soon as it's ready.
