So the fire station is an add on?

If I bought into the single city block, added the police and fire stations, and added an extra mat, would there be enough components to fill both mats?

Yes I was thinking that, but the Fire Station has 1974 on it.

It is tempting though

It's already been stated that the date sign on the Fire Station is optional.  You don't have to put it on.

Yep...it's an add-on for 12 GBP.

With all of the freebie stuff and if you went with a more single-level building layout...yeah, I have no doubt that you'd be able to fill a couple of mats.

Excellent interview with Collin of Battle Systems about this terrain on the Beasts of War Weekender and an exclusive look at an add-on that is going to break my bank:

Well, I caved ::)

Gone for the City Block Set, fire station, police station and a second mat (as mentioned, I already have some cardboard buildings, so two mats will let me add them to the game using a consistent layout.)

I was thinking that July 2016 is a while away yet, but as I haven't actually managed to play any games this year, maybe not o_o

edit: half an hour after I pledge, the next goal is unlocked. Think I'll take credit for that one :D

It's all incredibly tempting....

It looks great, is fantastically designed, I love the way it breaks down for storage, the new shantie town is incredible,

But, ultimately, I still feel the price is too high for me.  If it were $75 per city block, as opposed to $120, id've already backed.

If it weren't for the fact that the backerkit will likely be open long enough for me to tap into my Christmas bonus...I'd be a very sad panda.

I'm in for a double City Block + some add-ons now, but I'm likely going to expand that with another couple of base pledges...not sure of the mix of City Block/Shanty Town I'll get, but I'll be swimming in cardboard...especially with SOOOOO many freebies.

Waffling on getting in now that they've added the shanty town stuff. But it's still damned pricey. After shipping and conversion to CAD without any add-ons I think it'd be tipping $300. That's a lot for cardboard.

It's also a lot of cardboard.

I believe the last time I counted, every City Block or Shanty Town gets +60 freebie pieces with no additional shipping cost...and we are close to adding more freebies to that amount.  Also, non-base pledge add-ons also don't add to the shipping cost.

I just received my fantasy terrain from their last KS and I have the four base pledge boxes stacked next to the stack of add-on pages.  The stacks are pretty much equal, so my shipping was factored in on just half of my order.  For what it's worth.

But yeah, it's cheap for what you get, but still not cheap over all.

I can't afford to get everything I want right now.  I'll have to double/triple the amount I'm pledging when the backer kit opens in a month or so.

We're in the final push on this Battle Systems Urban Apocalypse, Shanty Town, Suburbs terrain Kickstarter.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1621774283/battle-systemstm-urban-apocalypse-terrain/description

Right now each base pledge or add-on of a City Block or Shanty Town gets you 71 additional freebie pieces of terrain...without adding to your shipping costs!

That's for EACH City Block and Shanty Town!

So I'm in for a x2 City Block right now, as far as I can go until a couple/few more paydays and the pledge manager opens, which means I'll get (so far) 142 additional pieces of terrain above and beyond two already stuffed boxes of the City Blocks themselves!

I'll be adding a LOT more when my Christmas Bonus hits.

Also worth noting, any additional City Blocks and Shanty Towns added in the pledge manager will also get the stretch goals.

Here's a small list off the top of my head of minis games and RPG games that I plan to use all of this terrain for:

Pulp Alley
A Fistful of Kung Fu
Tomorrow's War
Of Gods and Mortals
Fanticide
SuperSystem 4E
Heroclix
Horrorclix
Actionclix
The End
Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, Aberrant, Better Angels, and all other Marvel/DC/Other superhero RPGs on my shelves
World of Darkness games (Classic and New)
Leverage
Chill 3E
Fireborn
Hollow Earth Expedition
Little Fears
Corporation
Call of Cthulhu
Nightspawn/Nightbane
Chaos Earth
System Shock
TMNT
Ninjas & Superspies
Beyond the Supernatural
Dead Reign
Spycraft
and I'm probably forgetting a few games still on my shelves that I'd use with this terrain.

The new Suburbs add-on adds amazing versatility to this terrain as well:
