finally got round to starting my frost grave band
« on: 03 August 2016, 11:11:35 AM »
OK some time ago I posted I was going to make a frost grave band using pumpkin heads well here are the first few...partially completed figures.....I've still got a few things to finish on them before I start on the other half of the group but just wondered what you all thought.

Please take into account I've not picked up a paint brush for nearly 15 years so to say I'm a bit rusty is an understatement

Nice work. Spellcrow Miniatures' Dynaiq models are brilliant.

I recently found another source for pumpkin head creatures. Tiny Tales Studio sells some really fun and quirky models, including some diminutive pumpkin people. They also sell some amazing fantasy furniture and accessories.

Thanks Koyote for liking my painting and for the great link to other pumpkin heads :)

I've notice I've had 180 + views of my picture and if anyone else had any comments / words of advice on my painting style etc.

Quirky choice but they work really well, they have a great look of malevolence, a right nasty little bunch!! :)

Took a while for the image to load, but they look great!
I've taken the liberty of putting the photo directly into the thread, which might get you some more responses :)

I'm loving the pumpkin heads, so much character in all of them!! Keep us posted when you get the rest of the warband completed.

jp1885 - thanks a lot for getting my image up on the forum much appreciated.

Glad you like the paint job so far I'm hoping, work and family permitting, to have all the band done by the end of next week...if I do I will post photos of the finished figures

Really liking the punkin' heads there. Very cool, and one can hardly notice the 'rust'.
