Sculpting books?

Does anyone know of any good books on sculpting miniatures? (I've found a few online resources but want to have a few more options)

It's not miniatures specific, but Anatomy for Sculptors is the best anatomy book you'll find. Well worth the admittedly steep price.

Osprey do/did one, but its names escapes me at the moment.

While searching for it, I came across a scribd page that I hadn't seen. It claims you can download it and other books of a similar nature. I've never used scribd, so I'm not sure if there is a cost or not.

Andrea Miniatures did a couple of books, not sure if they still do. They're for 54mm, but techniques still apply.

There's another one, whose name also escapes me (it's on my bookshelf, but I'm at work) where a bloke sculpts a 90mm figure from scratch.

There are a number of clay sculpting books out there. Much larger scale, but the process could be useful. There's a new clay sculpting book from 3d Total - Beginner's Guide to Sculpting Characters in Clay

There are also plenty of polymer clay books available - look for work by Katherine Dewey

I have the Kindle version of Anatomy for Sculptors, although I don't see if offered on Amazon any more.

I'll have a look around my bookshelves, as I have probably purchased most sculpting related books at one time or another - although sadly you wouldn't know it from my output

While that sounds like a fun investment I'm not sure whether the cost of airfares would be smiled upon by my wife. And also leaving her with 3 kids for the amount of time return flights plus vodka drinking takes  If I lived close though I would take you up on that offer. (I'm assuming you don't live in NZ)

Thanks Zemjw, That's quite a comprehensive list. I'll look into all of those. I found the first Osprey one you mentioned on their site (and the second I think). I may go for those. When I scrape together enough cash I might also purchase the anatomy book.

And I really appreciate it. I'd love to actually see someone else at work. Sadly living in a small country with relatively few people in the industry here and living in a smaller town, it is very unlikely I'll be able to see anyone else that works in a similar scale to what I wish to see.

I'm not sure what you've found online, but there are a few Miniature Mentor videos that cover sculpting.

They are at least the correct scale and the camera work is very good. There's one greenstuff and two fimo videos if memory serves
