Very interesting project indeed, because these chaps are meant to fit in with an already existing Ultramarines army (the one my good friend Garfy sold a while ago: https://taleofpainters.blogspot.com/2016/10/for-sale-2000pt-ultramarine-army.html?m=1#more. This means that I had not only to adapt my approach and style and paint things a bit differently than I might have if I've had free rein. The camo cloaks on the Eliminators were to fit the ones the Scouts in the existing army, which was a bit of a challenge to keep the look of the camo pattern even though it's not how I'd done it at all, so I had to improvise and adapt a little.

But yeah, fun times. Hope you like the army, and I hope that I get to paint Space Marines again soon!

Hooray. Thanks very much. We see a lot of Ultramarines of course (well, at least I do in the dark, dark corners of the interweb I inhabit), and they're basically all painted the same way, but in the end that looks really nice, and it's basically what the people want. And who can blame them.

Hello, friends.

I'm currently painting Space Orks again. 60 Stormboyz, 30 Looterz, 60 Gretchins, and a bunch of characters (among them three different Shokk Attack guns! :O ). Oh my, is everything huge. And cluttered in what is often called detail.

After the first three stages or so I had to split the Stormboyz up into two batches of 30 boyz and 2 Nobz each to make it somewhat manageable. Here's a WIP shot of the first batch as it is now:

Still loads to do, but we're slowly getting there. Hope to get them finished properly and maybe get a bit of a head start on the next 30 before I have to put the Orks aside for more urgently deadlined projects! Hope you like them so far.

Right, I think I'm slowly getting rid of that annoying cold. AND last week I got 53 "Need them done until next week. It's not a hard deadline, but it would be nice" emergency 18mm-Prussians done in quite a painting marathon. So now I'm back to painting Stormboyz:

Well, at least they're on the same level now as the other 33. Still lacking basing and final neatening up/dirtying up. I have to admit that the past few days those details kinda got me aggrevated.

Well, I had to put the guys aside for now in favour of some Prussians which need to be painted really fast. Then I'll see that I get back to the Looterz.

Heyhey, I'm back to doing Sci-Fi / Space Fantasy things.

Earlier this month I was very busy struggling to get figures finished in time for the spring shows and getting everything prepared and all of that. Then, 2 days before the first event, of course everything was called off.

Here's some Infinity figures I did:


Always fun working with those. Dead sexy things and, contrary to what many say, easy to put together.


Then I went on do painting some more Goff Orks! 30 Looterz.



Very enjoyable to paint. Larger surfaces done, now on to the details! Hope you like them so far.
