Brilliant idea for a project, and the entries so far have certainly lived up to the potential! Excellent stuff - while I was too distracted at the time they were released to really WANT these miniatures, I was still aware of them, and now, as then, I can still appreciate just how oddly cool/coolly odd they are. Seeing them get the painting love they deserve is very satisfying. Looking forward to more.

I painted another Space Pirate!  He isn't strictly part of the project, but I've been wanting to use the first two figures (which both happen to be pirates) in games of Shadow War Armageddon.

A bit later than intended, Joan is one of the really rather shonky "female space marines" from the Adventurer range.



I originally planned to paint the figure to match a marine chapter, to ignore the arbitrary definition of the Astartes as a boys club, but then I decided to paint the model roughly like the modern Sisters of Silence.  Roughly.



The model was rough and I didnt feel compelled to sped too much time on it, but realising that it looked a lot like Grace Jones certainly helped.

My latest addition is Cinereal Jeannie, suitable psychic support for your roving Inquisitorial types. In contrast to cheetor's shonky female space marine, I think this Psyker is rather delightful, delicate sculpt for its age.



She's destined to accompany Inquistor Clousseau, my first model in the chain.

Great work on a charming sculpt I haven't seen before. I like the eyes and the unusual hair.

She's really nice, the restricted palette works better tan I could expect. But she really looks like she's having the worst hangover ever. She's like 'take that bottle far away from me!' :D

Lovely, lovely work Axiom!

Suber - the oddness of the pose might (I'm just guessing) be due to the fact that the mini's tab says "civilian" (as does one of the pilots, the unarmed one). Maybe she was originally meant to be terrified (or hungover lol) rather than casting a spell. In any case, the two "civilians" are both holding their heads as though they can't believe the pandemonium breaking out around them.

(While I'm being a RT geek: the Ventolin's tab says "trooper" - now that would have been a cool looking army).

A nice little sculpt, that one, and the first time that I have seen from any angle other than in the catalogue listing.

Thanks guys! She really does have a lovely face, even if she looks worried!

I'm minded to think she may have been a repurposed 2000AD sculpt, what do you reckon?
