Cool thread. I spent hours poring over the 'Adventurers' advert page in WD 99.

A few years ago I made the last stretch and picked up the few I was missing. Space Amazon was hard to find and pretty pricey at the time...

Great work guys, love it!

Stonking minis and painting lads! This thread is littered in inspirational eye candy.

Great idea to work together to paint the "unconnected" minis too.

Cheers

It's my turn again!  This time I present Battle Brother Groma from the Crimson Fists Space Marine Chapter, and Ruin Priest Theodolitus from the Adeptus Mechanicus.

I painted some humans with mechanical upgrades/robots with biological hindrances.

The three figs, the Adventurers "Test Bed Slave" and "Cyborg", plus the Talisman Timescape "Cyborg", were painted for use as "Infiltrators" in my slowly expanding Necron army, which has a "Terminator" (movie) leaning.

In game terms I will field them as "Flayed Ones" for minimal fuss, hence the weird stag night image below.

The full blog post HERE has some more info and photos etc.

The next CYOA post will be from either Axiom or Curis, but who knows?  The future is not set...

Really nice. The good thing about 40K is that these can be used as Necron infiltrators, Mechanicus Servitors or even Iron Hands novices :D

Aren't they all a little bit weird? ;)

Brilliant thread,great inspiration!
I have most of the earlier Spacefares range, time to do some more.

The Adventurers range is a lot like the Spacefarers range really, more like RPG figures than a battle game range.
The old Spacelords range (available from Moonraker these days) has some nice figs that fit this vibe too, as do the Colony 87 and Astropolis ranges.  We are spoiled for choice these days.

Really nice. The good thing about 40K is that these can be used as Necron infiltrators, Mechanicus Servitors or even Iron Hands novices :D

They could even be passers by in a Mega City 1 or cyberpunk environment.  Surprisingly versatile!
