At the local club, Wycombe Warband, the wargame I got to play this week was Batman. On what was a stunning-looking table.

The chap who ran the game had stunning miniatures and the games were loads of fun. Just learning the rules. The multiple levels of gameplay make for a surprisingly complex yet still slick and enjoyable game. Indeed a game worth considering even for those not necessarily into superheroes. So why not enter the streets of Gotham and immerse yourself in Batman lore you will have a blast.

See Knight Models for the game and gorgeous miniatures here:

Return to Frostgrave after a long break. First scenario from the solo Dark Alchemy campaign. A High Elf Knight and Archer snaffle some treasure but there’s something lurking just round the corner;

Roo - I wish I could take credit for him but not my paint job, I’m afraid. He’s good isn’t he?

Played a Sharpe Practice Napoleonics game at the club yesterday: Austrians had to attack a position defended by Italians.

Since I don't have any Napoleonics in my miniature collection, I enjoyed the opportunity to play with a colourful, well painted army.

My side (the Austrians) did however lose the battle. I must remember to pick an extra deployment point as a support option next time when playing with an army consisting of lots of units.

Yesterday was our monthly Stargrave campaign day, using a scenario from the Quarantine 37 expansion book; something about a hydroponics module gone feral…
