Play testing Mark Copplestone's game designed to for his new range 'Mark's Little Soldiers'. It's  stylised game, where movement across a square grid, and each 3-4 figure group represents a company (in this version).

Here the Elite Berglander Mountain Troops have scaled a rocky crag to a assault and capture a Slovskan mine

A WW2 game using WRG's 1925-1975 Infantry Action rules.
They were first(?) published in June 1972, so over 50 years old!

GASLANDS again! This is Irene Wischer for GRNL:

Is there life on Mars? The drivers are about to find out. The winner of today’s race is promised to get a seat on the next flight to the red planet. We have two teams in the pit. One is a rag-tag bunch of no-names from somewhere in the northern wastelands, but the other team is even having a sponsor – Ram Rodder, a former driver himself whose fame has a bit faded over the years, so that not many remember him nowadays. However he built up a little enterprise over the recent years, delivering cheap equipment made from scrap to upgrade racing cars of poorer teams. I was able to talk to him before the race when I met him and his current favorite entering the racecourse on a bumper-car colored motorcycle.

Great looking games above - do keep 'em coming...

Local club game this week was an 8 player Lion Rampant Dark Age Wargame - Saxons versus Vikings. Each player had 2 to three units so a rather large skirmish that worked out well and was great fun. I was on the Saxon side and lost all three of my units a skirmish archer unit of mine was destroyed by a single Viking! and my other two units both warriors one of which were veterans had a similar fate. In the end Alfred the Great was killed in a challenge - so changed history...

The rules worked out well though there was some criticism of the three inch rule and with the game being rather large we did have a number of traffic jams.
