I'm assuming the comment is referencing my gaming buddies...  lol

The normal Hawaiian shirt wearer was sporting his gear, as per usual, E. I didn't get Joel in the pic (he tends to back out when he sees me lining up a shot. He weighs less than I do, and I run 2 miles every day.  ;D

Still, I enjoy seeing the folks around the table in my pictures. It looks familiar to many, and lets us know about the commonality of gamers across the globe...

Sadly, my friends and I don’t own any Hawaiian shirts either, so I’ll try to include more photos of us in the future to help balance out the gamer attire around here ;)

Yesterday a buddy and I started the first scenario of the Kenshin Ryu Scrolls Campaign.

SCENARIO 1 – AMBUSH
A group of students from the Kenshin Ryu are escorting that school’s teaching scrolls to an adjoining province, where they will be presented to another ryu. A bandit leader has learnt of this, and, wishing to capture the scrolls for ransom, sends some of his men to intercept them.

RESULT: It looked like it was gonna be a route of the Bandits, their teppos couldn’t find their targets in the fading dusk lights. However, once the bandit samurai threw down their shoddy rifles they were able to get a few Koryu kills with their katanas. The end result was never really in question though and the scrolls have been passed along.

They certainly were. And I can’t tell you how much pleasure it gave me to watch the Kev Adams night goblins pile through the dwarf hammerers five times! B@stards still never ran.

Warhammer Renaissance, small test/learning game. Much drama even with such a small fight!

My Kev Adams fanatics were, by comparison, useless today! And my other gobbos failed many an animosity test!

On 11 July, we played another AWI game.  Same scenario as previous Friday, in fact, only using different rules (Valour & Fortitude), and again in 20mm/1-72.  Due mostly to some tactical choices, this was a much better and more interesting game.  The full AAR is up in my "AWI Stuff" thread...

Looking good, Jim! Were these playtests for your combined game with Larry Reber at Advance the Colors this October? If so, will you be using your minis or Larry's Legos...?  :D

Nope.  Just our regular games.  Larry and my games at AtC will be based on the British retreat from Concord in April 1775.  His rules (Saratoga Soldiers), my minis...
