We played a great 3-player game of The Pikeman's Lament on a sunny day. The scenario and batrep is on the blog http://grahamsgaming.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/i-tried-3-player-scenario-for-ospreys.html

Excellent scenario idea! And your AAR was very comprehensive, you had a really exciting game! Hopefully, we are going to have PL tomorrow, I'll try to take some decent pictures and post.

I would like to stand to some point, reading your AAR:

...The Ottomans, on the other hand, rolled a lot of double 6s and ended up with 3 heroes, 2 of which were in the janissary unit as well as the officer, so their morale was very hard to break...

The question is, the possibility of a new hero ending to the officer's unit.
Please have a look at our PL game, "The raid of San Padolfo", where we met the same situation an I posed a question

Question for the fellows playing The Pikeman's Lament

In some round, for activating the Governor's group, Aris brought double sixes. A good event.
Then, he brought a five.
Looking at the Double 6 Effects column, this meant that "The unit you just tried to activate gains an Agitator, Priest or Hero".
Since there cannot be an additional hero with the Captain's group, our interpretation was that, in this case, this effect was irrelevant.
Is it right?

That was our interpretation.
I still don't know if I am right, please, I would appreciate your opinion.

DintheDin, you are correct, that's what comes of just reading he QR sheet rather than checking in the rulebook! We had forgotten the rule about Heroes not applying to officer-led units.

So I'd go along with your interpretation in future.

Thank you for your reply!
Here you may find a new PL AAR I put in the Age of Big battalions, as it concerns the Great Northern War, I would appreciate your comments!
