Tolkien Elves - unreleased miniatures

These look pretty good.

Similar to GW miniatures, but more mail.  The heads could be useful for conversions.
Has anyone seen these in the flesh?

These look indeed pretty good. I think in many cases, they're 1:1 copies from the Peter Jackson movies. The price tag, on the other hand, seems to be compatible with GW, however, too.

Are these recasts or knock-offs? Either way, not impressed.

The most ridiculous name for a miniatures company and blatant knock offs too (I know I bought the hero quest figures but that's different because...reasons).  lol

The miniatures are designed to fit in with the GW LOTR line of miniatures. Thus the reason for their name. They started by putting out figures GW didn't make but were in the GW rules as an option.

Forgot to answer this. I have the Royal Field Marshal. They are scaled to match GW LOTR figures so 25-28mm.

Nice enough sculpts, and It's nice to know that LoTR still has enough support for after market minis to be viable.

I do worry that the sculptor may get a pretty hefty fine from new line ,Tolkien estate or GW , None of whom are known for their leniency when it comes to copyright.
never trust a horse, they make a commitment to shoes that no animal should make.

Ok that makes more sense.  lol

I have some of these elves on foot. The quality of the sculpting lets them sit well in the middle of the rest of my LoTR Strategy Battle Game collection. They're better than some of the worse GW sculpts, and worse than some of the better GW sculpts.

I should note that they were dreadfully fiddly to assemble. They're very fine limbed, with dynamic poses, so I wouldn't say they come together in easy joints. The last time I can recall having so much trouble assembling minis is with some of the early Corvus Belli infinity sculpts which had dynamic poses and limbs too narrow to pin. If you don't mind filling in some gaps with greenstuff, they can turn out looking great.

These are not Tolkien Elves, these are Peter Jackson's!
