The rowboat looks great, but not much else in it interests me at the moment.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

...

Their Bones 1 and 2 were problematic for detailed humanoid models under 30mm tall. The present kickstarter has plenty of these small guys, goblins and kobolds, and I think they would do a lot better with a slightly harder medium. Still a problem with spears at least.

...

In the Bones I and II KS, I thought that small figures like goblins, kobolds, Halflings and dwarves look better than human sized figures…

I think their details and things like hair are more muddled than those of the bigger figures.

But it's not universal, like x being all like this and y all like that. Just a tendency I think is visible.

The bigger than human models I think are very good.

I really want the rowboat and the land terrapin.

In fact I want several of the land terrapin.
In fact, I want a trade caravan of land terrapins around a large sea turtle village.
In fact, Forget the miniatures, Someone get me some turtles!
never trust a horse, they make a commitment to shoes that no animal should make.

Be nice to have a proper Baba Yaga figure.  Her hut I'm not quite sold on, looks more like a relatively modern cabin than I'd expect from Old Ironclaws.

Need to find a flight base for that dragon turtle, it'll make a dandy Gamera proxy for starship gaming.  Glad there's a few years to work on kitbashing a suitable fleet of these stupid things to go with him.

And yes, I found the image by using "gamera starship bee butt" for search terms.  :)

Definitely more interesting stuff that's now got my attention. The only thing still holding me back is the long wait.

The new Roc looks good, but I would rather it be a little smaller.

This is almost unavoidable to me.

I tried to reason why I wouldn't pledge for the Core Set & Dreadmere, and my reasoning just hammered home how much use I'd get out from those sets.

A lot of figures I won't need, but the prices are still good for the ones I'd like to have. The extras I can probably sell at a decent price, and possibly even cover the postage with that. And/or give as gifts to friends & to the bunch of kids in the family who are now getting interested into this kind of fantasy figures and games.  :)

So, it's really about the long wait. Will I still want the figures when they arrive some time in 2019?

The containers might be useful for modern to sci-fi settings… tempting

I think their details and things like hair are more muddled than those of the bigger figures.
Indeed, they might be... then again I never saw an actual Kobold so I can't tell ;)
But it's not universal, like x being all like this and y all like that. Just a tendency I think is visible.
That's true. And that's the main problem with the Bones figures. Some are great, other not so much so.
The bigger than human models I think are very good.
Indeed, Giants and Dragoons in Bones are good value for money.

I just made a pledge… I’ll probably take the core set plus a few extras… :D

Now, can someone refresh my memory and tell me how much time we add to choose extra sets once the campaign was over in the last KS? ;D

Edit:
July 31th 2018. Definitely a long time. To push money their way...

Long enough for you to add something to your pledge that you unexpectedly want further down the track and then no longer need even further down the track when your order arrives.

Unless it was Frogemoth. Not bad for ten bucks.

Missed the transparent dragon, though. Grr.

Yep I've got that guy too. A very impressive "mini" that was well worth the price and wait.
