Actually from some of the reports I'm seeing on Dakka, it is going to be card terrain in the starter set. No mention of the bulkheads.

Kind of a bummer really.

Still hyped for the game though. And since I have a brand new FLGS that opened nearby recently, I might actually get to play. lol

Well, a lot of my card terrain perished with use and a few house moves so I might just see if I can do something similar with some card or thin mdf myself.

The mantic stuff looks like it would be good for purpose as well. And if the starter box is more like bloodbown and £40 ish then might be worth spending the £60 you'd save on terrain like that or some of the lasercut mdf stuff that's out there.

I'm not going to lie;  if it's decent card and plastic terrain like old box was, that's fine by me. Doubly so if it keeps the price down and helps with storage.  8)

Rumor has it that Specialist Games is focusing on the gangs and the new Necromunda will be using the Sector Mechanicus terrain from Shadow Wars.

Somebody mentioned plastic sewer style tunnels.. so I wouldn't count on too much 3d aspect in it.. Probably only corridors.

Size wise Eschers look much larger and beefier than Jess Goodwin models.

I think there was mention somewhere of using forgeword zone mortalis tiles for that, might that be what you are thinking of?

So far I like what I am seeing.

When I was a little nipper i started out with a few games of Space Crusade and they led to Necromunda and thus I was hooked on miniatures wargaming. So to me Necromunda will always have a special place.

It is a bit sad that i looks like they are upping the scale so that it will be hard to mix and match old and new. But still the new looks rather nice.

I am suddenly feeling an urge to start building underhive terrain.

I reckon the Eschers are about 32mm to the eye (35mm high), unposed. They are definitely very tall for GW minis. They also have unusually "realistic" proportions for GW minis with a head to body ratio of about 6.5-7x and leg to body proportion of 1:1, which I cannot remember having seen on any GW mini before. They still have big feet and big hands, though! So not everything's lost.

They look like they are in similar proportion to all of the newer 40K human miniatures.  The more realistic proportions started around the release of the Tempestus Scions and have continued since.

No, it was  intel on box set composition leaked at the event but as is with such a rumors we could never tell.

Would be cool but I doubt it.
All in all I waited for high heels Escher whole 20 years..

I've been watching various places online with a keen eye.

The strongest rumours are around cardboard terrain although it is not clear as to whether it will feature plastic bulkheads like before or not.

The chatter generally seems to be about whether it will follow the Bloodbowl model. If it does then cardboard makes sense. And we can be looking at a price point of around £40-50.

It would also mean that all of the main gangs, as they have kind of confirmed, will be plastic with forgeworld handling the equivalent of star players - so hired guns etc. I suspect that possibly some of the outlander gangs, and the rarer gangs might be made in resin - like Spyrers which need fewer models.

Blood bowl sells for £65. That is 2 team and a card pitch. I doubt we will see Necromunda for less than £100 unless they skip terrain entirely. I hope I am wrong. Guess I am just too jaded about GW pricing to be hopeful :?. Granted I never thought they would make new gangs after SWA was released. I figured at best it would be a limited time recast of the original models. So hey I am already happy with what is coming :D.

Someone interviewed had mentioned a sub-100 pound product...hence the likelihood of card terrain.  By sub-100, I'm guessing 99.95. :D
