And decorator's caulk in your gloop... You dangerous maverick innovator you! (I'm definitely going to try that. I have tubes and tubes of the wretched stuff...

I like to live on the edge, or sometimes just over it - the brown caulk helps with the foundation colour too

Are you actually going to leave those mould lines on your Chinese palm tree trunks though?

Certainly not, I do have standards man, I'll be taking a scalpel to them shortly.  I just wanted to get all the bases done at the same time.

And yes, I did give Dean my address... How many do I need?

Depends how much you want to do, a few barbarians as characters and a dozen or so brigands would get you started.

Photos of my recent efforts are at www.littleleadmen.com and https://beaverlickfalls.blogspot.com

Painted and based the first five figures:

I've a pair of barbarian archers, Brin and Bolk, who will feature as lesser heroes

A pair of barbarian shield maidens, Shika and Olgrin, also as lesser heroes

And the first of the baddies,  Wyn the Toothless, a necromancer and cultist

All figures are from the Copplestone fantasy range.

Fabulous stuff! Those copplestone figures look a joy to paint up and your fleshtones are really good, as is the freehand on the shield.

The simple desert/sand coloured bases also show off the model, hmmm, the more sandy bases I see the more I think I'll switch to that colour on my own figures.

They are a triumph. As good as any 28s in both sculpting and brushwork. Looking forward to playing this ;D

At the risk of hijacking my own thread and turning into another LAF 3D printer discussion - which I really don't want to do - I've been playing with Tinkercad to produce some formers for scenery items.

In this case the items in question are architectural shapes for a cultist altar that will be part of a larger temple terrain piece

The pictures show the prints straight off the printer without any clean up but as I plan to render these with a plaster/pva mix I'm not too fussed about the print lines.

I'm not convinced that I've got the size right so I'm reprinting it again at 150%,

And here is the bigger altar - I think it works better but the Snake head statue on top now needs to be reworked too.

Yep,altar looks better, rather than reworking the snake head statue perhaps the addition of a plinth or spacer thingy under it would suffice, giving it more height and presence ? Just a thought :)

Excellent Mark, didn't know you had a printer.

I agree with Keith about a plinth for the snake; it'd set it off.  8)

You did an excellent job on those teeny tiny figures!  The snake alter is shaping up nicely as well.
