Thank you for comments... :)

Over the last days I builded som more thiongs for the town and I took some pictures of the entire cast.
I even took some more time to paint the interior of the houses.

Here is as an example the tavern.

The cthulhu-picture has a metalstrip fixed to its back....

...and on the wall is a magnet, so I can change the pics as desired... :D

Some small items...

And the entire cast for the town...

The heroes. In the first adventure there are only 3 heroes, so the rest acts as bodyguards for traders or just travellers...

Because the city is located in hyboreas south, the main population are stygians.

But there are also people from the southern kingdoms...

Some villains.

Rich woman with slavesgirls...

Some animals...

And a jewelery-trader from shem.

Tomorrow starts a small convention in Berlin and I will present a broadsword-adventure on this table... :)

@Op5
Yes, the board is first drybrushed and later washed with darker colours, but with quite a lot water. Could be called an ink-eefect. Sorry, for the pictures... ;D

Wow - missed this thread somehow.

That's a great city (love the magnet idea) and the citizens are an excellently and diverse set of characters.

Good luck in Berlin and I hope we see a battle report soon.

Wow! Very inspirational. I love the town and the minis, great use of figures beyond their intended purposes and ranges.

Very nice board, have to steal some of your ideas :D

Question about the Villains, are they Pre-slotta Citadel?

Especially no. 2 and 4, from left ;)

I ran my little Conan-presentaion 3 times on Berliner Spieltreffen at the weekend, but was too engaged organising, drinking and chatting, to take any pics, sorry... :?

But Frank was so kind to take some pictures over on his blog. Just scroll down...

The scenario itself was a great success and the players liked the rules and the board.

I used a new concept (at least for me) to take more opportunities on the board than the players can handle in the given time. The scenario gives a mission to the players ("...free the doughter of the king from the hands of the evil wizard.") in a given time ("...she will be sacrificed in one and a half hour real time, so get there before.").
On the board are resources and hints for the players (encoutermarkers). But in addition you can steal gold (to get more resources, chat with the villagers, buy things at the market, get victorypoints by romacing the women of the town or just drink some wine in the tavern. But if you do all that you will never do it in time to rescue the princess.
So the concept is: there are more things on the board, that you can ever use/investigate, to get the feeling of a real village... :)

@matakishi
Thanx for your conan-inspiration...;)
The rich woman is from the warlord set: "roman civilians". I also used their new "roman slave gilrs" wich I think is fantastic too... :o
I really like civillian sets... :-*

@Comsqaure
Yes, pre-slotta-base-warrior.

Sounds like a great scenario! I'll have to try and get myself organized enough to plan something like that for my next Conan game.

AWESOME!!!  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I've used that concept for multiplayer games before and it works like a charm!

Looking forward to see an AAR sometime!  ;)
