I am in awe!
So much work in so little time! And such quality!
Looks very very good. What is the darker edge made of? Putty or something else?
Looks very promising as well. By chance did you save the plans for this in a format you can share?
The wood was primed with ebony glaze. For the plans pm is sent.
Great work!
are you putting filler in between the planks? Does that not hide the detail when it comes to painting?
Yes I use a filler, its called Moltofill and you can't see a difference after painting.
Very impressive!
Have you considered the paint scheme yet? My understanding is that the sails would be red if the junk was out of Canton (Guangzhou) and green if out of Amoy (Xiamen). I am not sure how long that lasted across time or if other cities/regions had their own identifying colors.

Thank you very much for this info. I think I will go for red sails or using washes to darken them.
Meanwhile, there is nothing new on the Red Dragon, but the Water Witch made an update.

First parts of the ships are primed now. The ship will have four launches, the first is made with balsa, three more will follow, at the moment I have no idea, how a Davit for such a ship should look like.

The transport junk got some planking.
