That's looking good Paul. There's something a bit special about scratch building.

I'm always amazed by people that make foam bricks :)

Looking good so far, follies are pretty interesting, visually and from a cultural perspective.

Thank you for all the encouragement.  :D

It’s not a proper project until you stick on little blue foam bricks! Are you going to put wrought iron on the door? Maybe some bracing or a big handle?
The door will be added to.  I just needed the outline to do the stonework around the door (see below).

I'm always amazed by people that make foam bricks :)
I blame James! That said, I do have form for foam inspired madness...... http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=7181.0

Update: More foam, slightly more cork:

Making stones from foam:

A: Strip of blue foam 10mm x 6mm (Dimensions can be varied depending on how big you want the finished stone).
B: Single block; generally 10-15mm long.
C: Curve cut to rear and front of block.
D: Trimmed to size and the sharp edges slightly sanded for a more rounded look.

More cork added for basis of steps up to door:

How many more packs of Pringles will you need to eat before you have enough to finish it?

And the brick size decreases as you get higher, very nice touch.

I've used individual bricks also (more fun building) but the work you put in each one is insane. But totally worth it as they look fabulous! :-*

Slower progress in the past 2 weeks due to various other things going on.  ::)

Just more blue foam added:

More blue foam too:

The bits around the door and windows were a bit fiddly, but all sorted now.  The lower part has been "textured" but the upper not (so far), just to show the contrast.  I have also left the blocks around the door and windows "un-textured"
