Warhammer Quest cards
« on: February 05, 2018, 08:19:03 AM »
As my son is currently really enjoying Warhammer Quest (and so am I) I decided to get some cards made up for some different events and monsters, I even made up some cards for the character packs as well using electronic versions of them. I printed them out at Printer Studio and they arrived today! (My son will be very excited in the morning as he hasn't seen them yet) I made about 40 different monster cards and duplicated a few so I have a pack of 54. I also have 27 of the character type cards (Characters, equipment and other info) So I doubled them because it was going to cost the same doing 27 cards as 54 cards would have cost. These character cards are supersized. You can see the regular poker sized cards compared to the big cards in the pictures.
The event cards turned out really nicely, the character ones not so much, but it is nice to have them on some sturdy card with a box to put them away into.
I tried to use GW pictures were I could to keep them more authentic looking. I'm obviously not selling these so I don't think it is a huge issue doing this (personal use only)

I can't wait to get a game going! I'll be making up a good undead encounter.

Great idea! Good gaming accessories really improve the experience, just as much as painted minis and terrain in my mind.

I hope that's not a problem. I chose minis that were painted really well :)

Not at all, the pic just stood out...but I could have fixed it since it's an old photo and I now have more cheapo-photoshop skeeeeels. :D

Lol, well it looks good on the cards as it is. They are quite small lol
Does this make you a published artist? ;)

Dear God, I hope not! :D  It does make me want to play some Warhammer Quest again - though I have only Dwarven Forge stuff so it's annoying to build stuff according to the cards, etc.

Our last game was as expected... lol (buddy's place using his old copy of the game of course)

I got my copy of the game about 7 or 8 years ago minis many minis so have been slowly painting up new stand ins.
With the new character cards we'll be able to try some different heroes out.
It would be great to use dwarves forge stuff. Not that I have any. I wonder if birds eye photos of well painted ones would work for dungeon cards.

I'm sure they would, with the right bit of photo-editing.  I think it'd actually be pretty slick since you could create a whole bunch of new room/tiles.

That's my main gripe with WHQ right there... the rooms are too small and the monsters are too many so there's no manouvering at all... which makes the miniatures part of it a bit redundant, really. :( Apart from that, I love WHQ. I spent a lot of time on re-making all the cards, so I would have an editable digital version for custom content:
