Curiously, there is a similar thread on Frothers at the moment (for some reason it has devolved form a discussion about MPs expenses).

Here's a thing, the lovely Madelaine Smith used to live here in my home town of Teddington. I used to see her walking up the High Street on a fairly regular basis. Its along way from seeing her in the Vampire Loverds with the equally lovely Ingrid Pitt.  Ahem....
