Looking for 25/28mm Farm House
« on: May 11, 2009, 08:44:45 PM »
Looking for a 25/28mm farm house.  I use a mix of Cowboy Wars, Black Scorpion, and other miscellaneous wild west figures with ERTL Cowtown, Old Glory, etc buildings.

I was considering Hovel's 40AC Leister House (Meades Headquarters), what do you think?

There were also a few Grand Manner buildings that caught my eye, but I'm not sure how they fit scale-wise with the figures and buildings I use.

Miniature Building Authority have a Ranch House and a Granny House that will both work for 28mm

I agree on the MBA buildings. I have them as well. Would work for the ranges you use.

My guess would be that the Hovels would be too small, especially the Black Scorpion

Thanks guys. . . knew I could count on you ;-)

I was afraid to try the Perry building after reading the discussion on it, but it's really lovely and if it doesn't work out, well hell I'll just sell it to some one!

I actually have the Hovel Grand Hotel:
http://www.michtoy.com/MTSCnewSite/scenic_diorama_folder/Hovel_Folder/2007_adds/hvl35AC.html

and it seems to work well with the Black Scorpion figs so I thought maybe Meades house might work. . . .

We need to get a thread going where we post pics of the various figure ranges against the various building ranges so people have an idea about the scaling.

I'd be happy to get that started later tonight :-)

Yes, thank you!

I don't own any Perry figs, though, so I don't know how they compare to the ones I have :-(

They seem like very nice figures and sets though.

You can try E bay for K-line ranch house,  Its very nice and about $15-$20 I have one and trying to do an interior for it.

I'd second the k-line ranch house as it is more typical of the west of the 1870s and on than the Meade HQ which is best used for areas settled before the civil war - Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri for example.
