I suspect my skills end a long way short of my ambitions, but thank you...

After the excitement of the casino, I've been working on some scatter terrain.

This week I started making the first section of a wall. It won’t block a proper hero of course, but it will provide some dramatic tension while they find a way over it, around it, or by smashing through it: swashbuckling heroes are notoriously lax in matters of property damage.

This fence is close to as simple as it gets; a card sandwich with bits of wire, a ridiculous amount of super glue, some concentrated filing and sanding, and then paint. Of course it’s a bit pointless on its own so I’ll set up a production line for when I’ve driven myself slightly potty trying to find how to make a card aeroplane.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your aeroplane build goes.
Rather than the build something com. I'll be doing de Havilland Dragon Rapide . It's something I've been trying to fit in for a couple of years now.

There is a ‘papercraft’ version of the Ford Trimotor?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it's a bit big for my tiny apartment, especially as I'm still trying to justify an airship....

lol lol lol I am picturing this tiny, studio apartment with a miniature airship as big as a couch suspended from the ceiling. "What's that? Oh, just something I do in my spare time..."

Oh, the challenges of being a miniature gamer...!  :D

The only problem with that picture is that someone else is asking the question, which implies I have a social life.

Working on more mundane items at the moment, like a new police car. The only reason for this is that I wanted to try a new colour scheme:

I don't know how I handle this extravagance.

Nice scheme!

NYPD had lovely green cars up until 1973 when they went to blue.  I was bummed that they were all gone by 79.

Oh man, just like Toronto. We had bright yellow cars (and our cabs were other colours)!

A time when visibility was counted as an important aspect of a police car.

Interesting, our were green or green and white when I first came to Germany. Now they look like this:

Anyway, back on topic, the Royal Naval Air Service Police car is complete:

As it is supposed to be part of the 'Royal Naval Air Service' the colours are loosely based on the Royal Air Force Police colours, with a yellow roof added because it will be going air side a lot. Mind you it may just be that it was passed down from another aerodrome; I suspect the vehicles on Ascension are a motley lot brought over when other more 'important' places upgraded. After all, why do they need good cars when the island is 8 miles long?

The old German green made for pretty swank uniforms, but I'm glad someone still has hi-vis on their current police cars when the global trend is increasingly towards stealthy schemes with charcoal and black shadow livery.
