Super impressive stuff.

The necrons always struck me as a bit of a dull faction without much personality until I saw this thread.

Superb work.

The side of effect of being a mindless robot killing machine  ;)

Those are an intresting take on Necrons. I always prefer my Necrons dirty and worn I never got the shiney silver GW paint schemes. After thousands of years in a dusty tomb it seems a bit odd they come out all gleaming like someone has given them a good going over with the silver polish before battle.

I have to say I prefered Necrons as they where represented in the 3rd/4th edition Codex when they where more mysteroius and ruled by the C'tan once they went all Egyptian Robots in space, with the next codex, and gained more personality I think they lost a lot of what made them interesting.

Couldn't agree more!

I've got a 3rd/4th edition Necron army, existing of 2nd ed Necron Raider metal models, conversions and scratchbuilds, all in line with the riveted aesthetic of the original miniatures.
What was part of the attraction for me back then was the idea of countless, faceless metal ranks marching on tirelessly. The whole notion of them having become automatons without any free will was (and is) just very creepy.

Like Cybermen, actually... ::)

For some reason, Necrons have been cropping up in à lot of threads and conversations of late, so I'm half of mind to revisit my army and make it grow even more.

But I absolutely love this kill team! the concept and execution are both awesome and original. I think you may actually have found the way Necrons really ought to look.

Please keep it up, because they're phenomenal! 8)

Thanks everyone!

New arrival to the team, Immortal #3. This one is the commander of this bunch.

That is some sweet stuff.  Just all over the place and evil looking and over the top.  The kind of variance that is at the core of the neatness of 40K.

This warband has been lying dormant for over a year.. The new Necron release made me want to pick it up again and add a few things.

Flayed One

The core Kill Team rulebook has four unit types for Necrons: Warriors, Deathmarks, Immortals and Flayed Ones. The latter was the only one I hadn't made for my original kill team, even though I had the design figured out.  But here it is now, my interpretation of a Flayed One. The red legs and arms come from Admech Ruststalkers, the torso is from Victrix Gallic Naked Fanatics, and the head is a GW skull.

Bone trees

Produced by the awesome Wilhelminiatures, these resin scenery pieces fit so well with my Beksiniskiesque Necrons. You can get them on Etsy: LINK. I wanna eventually make a small themed gaming board for my 'crons.

A bit of a different take. More "Terminator"-esque.
