Thanks! The base is also due to bad planning. I could have made it thinner if I'd wanted. Though as it is, the foam base allowed me to use short nails (or shortened) to push through the hole in the base of the aquarium plants directly into the foam (strengthened with glue) which means they won't come out quickly. What I should have thought to do is tapering (?) the edges much more so it doesn't appear as tick.

I hadn't thought about the fact that the thicker base allows you to anchor the plants more firmly to the piece of terrain - it's a good point. In fact, I'll have to keep it in mind for my own scenery! I tend to just glue things to the top, and then texture around everything, but sometimes things do pop loose. In fact, the older I get, the more it happens!

As for bevelling the base (I think 'bevel' is the word, but I could be wrong...) - that's the solution, of course. In any case, it's a great looking piece of terrain.

I have the AE-WW2 rules, but not the supplement that includes Japanese (yet). I also have the SOTR rules and they were intended mainly for use with those, though I haven't gotten any games in.

I should really add more to the force, but I can't do everything at once. As for the number of models, having more also means that you can pick the ones you want for a particular smaller game.

That scenery is quite ace. That reminds much of the downed plane you can find in Fallout 3 in Point Lookout hidden out in the swamps. Had only ran into the thing just yesterday, in fact.

I don't know, I'm lucky enough to have found them in petstores, which helps to judge the scale. They have contact details on their website though, so it can't hurt to drop them a line to find out about availability. Personally, I think an online wargaming shop should approach them to stock their appropriately scaled stuff for wargamers. It's a whole new market for them really.
