Like it all, but love the DBA base camps!
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Thanks Vodkafan. I do enjoy the occasional DBA,
unless it is with a rules lawyer that is.

15mm DBA.
The Egyptian boats are from Kinder surprise eggs.
I got them at a toy fair, in a bargain box. Cost all of 10p each.

I am getting around to some of the 'Things tucked away in boxes'.
Found some small fantasy pillars. Decided to add some height,
(put them on plinths) Still not happy, so decided to turn them into
a bit of a ruin.

The pupils at the school club, who really like What a Tanker,
wanted to expand into North Africa. I pointed out that the
Normandy (MDF) houses would not do, but that Adobe buildings
were easy to do with some Blue Foam. To show them I knocked up
this. They have now each taken a small block & (hopefully) before
half term they will have a village. Then they will need an Oasis. (next project?)

With rumours about Osprey doing a set of Spaceship rules (Million Suns?)
I dug out what few I have already painted, so here they are.

Today we have some 6mm Sci-Fi/fantasy buildings from the much lamented, now OOP,
Snapdragon range. The first few were painted by him/them. The rest waited for years
until I thought I could match the style. Judge for yourselves.

I like those buildings  both the style of the models and how you have painted them up.

Thanks Fred. I simply mimicked Snapdragons style, though it was
years before I felt brave enough to try.

I think you must have done a good matching job, as they all look the same . Odd little buildings, I expect munchkins live in them

Unfortunately they have seen zero table time. I could not resist them at a show
(the first, i.e. painted ones) & when he was going out of business I snapped (pun
intended) up the rest. The Sci-fi I did then was 15mm (too big) & now it is 28mm
(way too big!). I did think about buying a pack of 6mm or 10mm (just right) and
populating the town with 'Munchkins' , but have never gotten around to it.

Today's pictures are of alien flora, enjoy I have more.
