Work on another promised project.
Some generic adobe buildings for a mate.
First up the MDF buildings assembled & distressed.

Next, some thatching bits (remains of an old furry pillow),
filler into gaps & 'stippled' over other sections (provides some
more texture). Finally for this stage is the dark brown undercoat.
I used to use the 'Bitter Chocolate' Match-pot from Wilco, but since they
stopped selling I have found a similar Dark Brown (I forget
its flashy name) from Homebase.

Various light browns dry-brushed, gradually working toward off-white.
Windows and doors, that I had blanked off earlier, are blacked out.
Then some thin washes (inks & thinned paint) were applied to
help pick out the texture detail.

And finally, the doors & some windows get curtains.
The rest get 'light'

Thanks Bob. I made them fairly 'generic' as Dave wanted them to be useful for several settings:-
India (2nd Sikh War),  Wild West, Mexican Revolution, Modern Drugs bust etc.
