Yeah, they are great and inspiring.
But aren't hearthguard bought in units of 4 rather than 5?
Although I suppose you could buy 3 units and split then up into 2 units of 5 and one unit of 2.
Nonetheless, gorgeous models.

4 to a point, but legal unit sizes in SAGA is 4 to 12 models. You can also swap half a point of one troop type for half a point for another at deployment, so it is fairly common to run 2.5 pts of hearthguard in two five-man units. Makes them a little stronger than two minimum size units.

Really!?
I have no recollection of ever reading that. Got a page reference for that?

It was introduced in the 2022 revision of the rulebook, should be under Assembling a Warband.

Also in the 2022 rulebook FAQ that explains the changes. Not avaialble on Studio Tomahawk website anymore, but I found it here: https://www.scribd.com/document/640014653/FAQ-Rulebook-Saga-2022

Ah, OK.
I have the 2018 edition.
Unfortunately I can't download that since I don't have a Scribd account (tried to log in with Google, but said I still had to sign up with payment details though could cancel any time. No thanks. Cheeky sods).
Interesting idea though.

Strange, it just showed it to me. Here's a link to it on my Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ij3o6zk602rsdu8pccy5u/faq_rulebook_2022.pdf?rlkey=p8sh2qpzn4evxde8qk7oyqipp&st=kkcakjfa&dl=0

Dissatisfied with the uniformity of my first six Mutatawwi'a foot HG, as I added more foot HG I introduced some green into the mix.

Since my preferred build includes 2.5 points of of HG,  I now have enough HG to field all 10 on foot or to field up to 6 on horse or 6 on camel. This gives me the options to customize my "equipment" to suit my opponent's warband and/or the scenario.

Fabulous painting on those miniatures. The army is coming along very nicely indeed.
