Étienne de Vignoles, La Hire. The knave of hearts

Completed this lovely figure about ten days ago and finally got his basing done as I was waiting on earth colored paint (which has held up completion of 18 bases of figures)

I have also completed a story of his service history on my blog for those interested in his deeds. So famous he is still remembered as the Jack/knave of hearts today

Absolutely fabulous painting, can't get over how good they are and how many you turn out at this  high standard, more power to your elbow!!

As the mojo mood takes me I move between two to five periods, I prepare all of the research beforehand sometimes a year or two in advance so I have a plan to purchase also. They may see, fast but I try to start and complete all of the horses first as they take the most time.

Excellent work Matt  8) 8) 8)

I much prefer the metals to the plastics for the HYW Perry range. I think they have more natural look to them.
