Thanks man! And hahaha, I know, right?? Those arms...urgh. Fortunately my plastic goop mix melted the seems very nicely, hiding my super clumsy assembly.

Forgot to post him, but Star Lord is also finished. Fantastic to paint and Sorastro's YouTube tutorial was really useful for this.





Gomora and Drax are ready for paint too, hope to finish the whole Guardians cast soon!

Next one...Gamora. So only Drax remaining for the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Had a blast painting her. Love her outfit and pose and she went quite fast. With a zenithal priming it didn't take long before I got the white how I wanted it to look.

I just finished reading the Annihilation series and this really motivated me to paint him. Lots of fun as always and I'm very happy with the gritty metallics I got on him.

My son told me I had to do Doc Ock next...so lots of tricky NMM...

So after more than a year it finally was time to do Doctor Octopus! And it was challenging with the bending and twisting arms...but not as challenging as I dreaded. So in the end he went quite fast and I liked painting him a lot. I approached all the cylinders in the tentacles more in a sketching way, painting big highlights and shades and then going in for the detailed work. That was different from how I often approach NMM, so insightful and fun to do!
And since he is finished, I started with Spider-Man, seemed like the logical next choice.

Cheers lads! The comic book look is nice to read as that is what I hoped to achieve . Also cool on Star Lord...he is my favourite paintjob so far, so woohoo!

And the next one is Spider-Man. Rather easy to do, although the whole web effect was a bit fiddly. Still, nice easy sculpt and cool pose.
