Lovely entries from everyone, well done.
Best wishes,

No. 6 - Reaper Bones Manticore

One of the more recent bones figures I believe. A fairly quick paint job with contrast paint + highlights - will do nicely for D&D games!

Great entries so far.  Always in interesting collection of figures I have never seen before in these clubs.  The bones Manticore turned out great.  Contrast paints on that big of a model are a good idea.

That's a top-notch job and no mistake. But I do worry about that sword. I hope it's made of Styrofoam, or he's going to have a tiring time hitting anybody with it.  :)

Haha, indeed Plyknes, though he does look like he could use it. And thanks  fellas,  Nic gave him to me as a freebie at CANCON (Australian Convention). His face is particularly good ,despite the sword, very characterful  :)

No.8 - Bear's Head Manticore

Recent model (2020 I think!), old school feel. Painted yesterday, mostly contrast paints again. They've increased my output drastically! I can't get results as good as some of the stunning entries on this thread so far, but as they say, done is better than perfect :) No that's not right  lol Done is better than theoretical and perfect!

Yes this makes two manticores done in the space of a couple of days. I just loved both of them when I saw them. What's next now I've run out of manticores?!

It's amazing what intricate detail modern sculptors manage to get onto their sculpts, perhaps they work with a microscope ... painting won't get easier anyway. But I like that character's face and stance, and at least he looks like he definitely will be able to swing that hammer!  ;)

I am really enjoying this thread - especially Rollo's trousers!  I will try and do something to contribute, although I am nervous about inevitably dragging down the average standard. Great work everyone!

Nice work on that 75mm figure.

(I'm going to keep on pretending it is 75mm ;)
