Combat HQ WW2 Wargame rules
« on: 27 May 2020, 06:05:33 PM »
Hi,
Although this ruleset hasnt had a lot of publicity, i highly recommend anyone playing WW2 to take time to have a look. A new consolidated version 2 rulebook is in the final stages of production, so now is a good time to get involved.

Rules have bases set a platoon level and have the most intriguing command activation system i have ever come across which allows players to interact in short and long period bounds, which keeps everyone involved.

You can download a free sample of the rules by visiting wargamesdesign.com. While you are there take a look at the author Jim Bambra's pedigree of rule writing...

I have no connection or financial involvement with the rules but have been playing them for the last 12 months and feel its a shame others arent aware of them..

Take care,

Mike

Contains rules for:

Airpower
General Support Batteries
Airborne Landings
Beach Assaults
Combat Engineering
Weather
Supply

Three late war battle groups with unit statistics:

Commonwealth Armoured Division
German Panzer Division
US Armoured Division

Eight mission types:

Meeting Engagement
Attack and Defend
Flank Attack
Hold the Line
Take and Hold
Counter-Attack
Rescue
Capture the Bridges

Hi,
Combat HQ has now released its second version of the rules. Two books. Combat HQ second edition covering standard rules and Total War with all advanced rules adding beach landings, airdrops etc.
They are also three, free to download sets of stats for Commonwealth, Russian and German forces.

I still highly recommend these rules. Well worth a look.
Mike
