Dead Snow was only released last month, we never even got Dead Set, and I don't know how long we have yet to wait for Pontypool and Autumn

Funvees no hum drum vees!

So in keeping with my zombie related work I've started to bulk out my army/Civil defence forces in the face of the zombie menace.

First and foremost, Humvees.

(Well my fireteam has a) got fed up driving the range rover & b) needs to expand, (have 16 TAG delta and rangers to paint) and as such will need more Transportation.

So, Ian from over at Fenris Games has come up trumps with two softskin Hummers:

Painting them currently as I type, (no not at the same time silly!) base coat, washes and highlights almost finished. lights, chasis and shading on the windows/wheels to do, then a dust up with pigments and that's some kick ass military transports done.

I've also got one of the hardtop's ordered too:

Always prompt and very good service, these hummers are a great addition to the fight against the undead menace, (Now if only I could find a 1/55 civilian version that I could paint yellow and paint a black number 3 on the side!

).

Should be through Tuesday so I'll start painting that asap.

As I said really nice sculpts, very quick to paint. Will post finished pics later.

Not 1/55 scale... 1/43... might be too big for the other vehicles in your gaming fleet, but....

1:43 hummers will definately look too big next to 1:55 army models. Here's a piccie of an 1:43 model next to some EM4's:

Turtleback Hummer arrived yesterday. Undercoated last night. Just toying with colour ideas now, stick with drab or move to a digital camo, (sorry been playing modern warfare 2). Green keeps it uniform, camo gives it that thrown together no time to repaint zombie menace feel.

Will think on over a cuppa. More NBC troops basecoated and signs prepped.

Very quick update: (got a 5:30am start!!!!).

Signs and Potents!

Take:

Selection of warning sign images from the internet, (and a few screen grabs from Left for Dead).

Add:

Very thin plasticard, (one side sprayed grey, (like sign backs) one side sprayed black.
3M spray mount glue.
Sharp scapel
Good scissors (no running kids!)
fine sandpaper

Result:

Some great signs to add more depth to the urban zombie board!

Cmdr, you have to sneak at lease ONE of these in to the mix...

Umm... Making me think of modifying a zed miniature (or 2) into a shambling biped Molotov cocktail. Would be a plus to the gaming table.
