Good lord! I know that intersection! That's not 30 minutes from here....

I had a similar "Wait a sec, that looks awfully familiar..." moment, then noticed the URL and that cinched it - that mall is on one of Richmond's main streets, and that cylinder of glass and the reddish 'gates' are pretty distinctive!

Richmond is mostly a giant mass of malls anyway, so a mall-zombie board inspired by it is entirely appropriate!  :D

That mall is in Coquitlam.  You can tell by the blue and white signage.

Hope you locals plan on heading to the Trumpeter Convention in march 2010.  www.trumpetersalute.com

Already planning on Trumpeter Salute 2010 - a LAFmeet has been mentioned a few times already, actually. I might even run a 45A pulp game.

That Coquitlam mall must be somewhere near the Coquitlam Greyhound station - I swear I've seen it, and the only times I've been through Coq in the past two years have been by the Dirty Doggie bus on my way inland to visit my parents...

(we're derailing the nifty zombie thread too, so back to zombies in malls and such!)

You were.  ;)

Right last night, (whilst watching the mist and getting all inspired for further NBC troop goodness!):

Cut all the paving sections/planted areas.
Sorted out the road and parking sheets I have left, (need more parking bays printed!)
Going for textured plasticard for the main routes around the carpark, (been looking a lots of parking areas and often they switch from tarmac to block paving/brickwork so should work, although may switch this for just the parking bays?

Need to brave the weather later and get a few sheets printed out at Staples and then start painting the board up/wrapping the pavements etc...

No mall this time, this is just the parking area, though the entrance paving will be there. Zero time and trying not to do this as a rush job as I leave early Thursday am.

Photos later.

Went to Homebase in my lunchhour and had a nice piece of 3mm cut to size for all the sections, staples for the printing, (don't ask!   :o ) so will attempt to get this to a working stage later, oh and paint at least half a dozen or so zombies and pack!

Hey Vyper... out of interest how much does staples printing cost?

Great work on the first layout by the way! It's truly inspiring, and really puts me in the mood to have ago myself (although I've managed to steel myself thus far!)

I was also wondering if I could get a wee look at your rule additions to AR:SE  ;)

And a final question is in your opinion (and the opinion of other LAF members) which company makes the nicest most affordable Zs?

Cheers
Andy

Good question! Does it work out cheaper than printing on the PC at home?

I love printing my own scenics and rules, but the ink doesn't half run out quickly and usually just before the wife wants to print something "important" :(

That's COMMANDER Vyper to you sonny Jim! ;)

Pricing: already covered back on the first or second page my friend, not cheap but very high quality.

Rules: Well they are going to end up a fully ledged set in their own right but I will release a few snippets over the next few weeks as I wrap things up. ;)

Zombies: ummm tough, I'd have to say cold war, (for variety & price) studio (for quality personal favourites).

Cheers

Baseboard done now all bar the pavements and foilage.

No bloody zombies painted but a third workable (still plenty to complete) board concept Sunday night, mapped up Monday built Tuesday evening (ish) is not bad going.

Battery charging so photo's in a bit.

Cheers Commander;)

I did read your post saying staples being expensive but i was wondering if you had a rough cost? If you don't, no worries- it just means that I've to stop being a lazy B*stared and head on down to have a look meself.

I had a look at both Studio's Zombies (See these before... pure...eye..candy... I could never do them justice) and Cold wars Zs. Good Recommendations.

I also really enjoy the dark gritty painting style of your zombies, any tips?  ;D.

Cheers
Andy
