Napoleonic Peninsular War
« on: 24 August 2020, 03:19:00 AM »
For the last year I have been working on a large 15mm Peninsular War collection.  The focus of this collection is a British assault on the French-held Spanish town.  It is presented on two 5 ft. x 7 ft. tables.  The first of the two tables shows the British advance on the town through a Spanish countryside laced with vineyards resting on either side of a road lined by stone walls.  The second table is the assault… British siege lines and the French defenses dominated by two star forts.  If you like the seven sample pictures offered here, I hope you will take the opportunity to view the entire gallery of 91 pictures that can be seen on my vanity website at www.warin15mm.com a007 by Richard Garretson, on Flickra016 by Richard Garretson, on Flickra030 by Richard Garretson, on Flickra038 by Richard Garretson, on Flickra041 by Richard Garretson, on Flickra070 by Richard Garretson, on Flickra075 by Richard Garretson, on Flickr

Massive armies! Wonderful pics, table setup and buildings! What's not to like? Cheers!

Wow!  :o :o
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Thanks to all for taking the time to write and for the generous comments.  As I said in my posting I have been working on this collection for the last year... almost every day for the last year.  It is a project that I have been thinking about since 2005 when I first saw pictures of Bill Gaskin's 28mm Peninsular War collection in Wargames Illustrated.  While not on the spectacular scale of Gaskin's collection, I am extremely happy with the way this project came out, and it makes me very happy to share it and find that others like it too.  Again, thank you for your kind words.
