The Oni will have their first table outing tomorrow in a five-person game of Dragon Rampant.  Metternich's force will be composed of the 3 Oni as a 3-figure unit; a unit of 12 Sohei; a unit of 12 Bandits/Samurai/Ronin; and two units of Kappa (6 each).

Hi everyone,

Sorry it’s been a while, I’ve been busily working on ~30 Takeda clan samurai and ashigaru, along with a host of undead for future monster hunting. In the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy this group of 6 undead samurai, which I think are all from the old L5R line.

First time I've seen this thread and am impressed with the quality of your painting. Very vibrant colours and good patterning.
For Ronin I went for 4 small Ronin bands rather than the usual Buntai in the game. Lots of villagers, a few monks and a few retainers to keep the peace.

Keep up the posting please

A wonderful addition to the collection - an undead Buntai.  Masterly work.
And the Oni are tough enough as opponents ! (In the two games we have played where they are present, we wind up reserving the arquebus fire with them as targets, in hopes of wounding one!).

The Ral Partha samurai and ninja  would be a wee bit small next to the Perry samurai and ninja (and villagers) , Northstar Ronin boxed sets (bandits and monks) and Legend of the Five Rings (the undead and Oni)  figures that make up the bulk of the collection.

The Ral Partha Samurai in the pictures are very close to the Clan War miniatures range which itself does have quite a big size difference in some of the miniatures. The Ral Partha Sculpts might have even been done by one of the sculptors that worked on the Clan War range.

I have some and they look good next to the Clan War figures.Adds more variety to the larger units.

Great collection of miniatures which i have seen on the Ronin FB page.
