WW II German Jäger Unit
« on: 18 September 2020, 06:24:03 PM »
I decided to paint something a little different for German mid to late war infantry and decided on painting some Jägers.  Here is Squad #1 and the figures are from Black Tree Design.

Very nice. I have always liked the BTD figures, they are still good.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

And now the whole platoon together. The main purpose of the German Jäger Divisions was to fight in adverse terrain where smaller, coordinated units were more easily combat capable than the brute force offered by the standard infantry divisions. The Jäger divisions were more heavily equipped than mountain division, but not as well armed as a larger infantry division.

Nice job! Some of my very first WWII minis were these German BTD figures, so it's great to see them still gracing the gaming table.
