Thank you, I am determined to make it a positive new chapter, but first my wife needs to slow down with the home improvement plans 😏

The dread and rampant Honey-Do list, it has eaten many an unsuspecting man early in his retirement.  Best of luck with that challenge!  :o

Love your reports, Gareth.  Looking forward to seeing if/how American firepower affects this matter.

And, congratulations on your retirement!

Battle Report: Border Clash at Dusk

Location: Latvian Border Sector 7 - Winter, 1999

Battle Report Conclusion:

The crossroads at the heart of the village—once a quiet junction of cobbled lanes and shuttered windows—had become a crucible of fire and steel. NATO’s heavy armour now prowled the debris-strewn streets, backed by the thunderous roar of air support that never ceased. Russian AFVs lay twisted and smouldering, their wreckage testament to a battle fought with brutal precision. With no surviving vehicles and command structures in disarray, the Russian high command had no choice but to concede: their invasion of Latvia had not merely stalled—it had been shattered.

This sector was lost. The cost in men and machines was staggering. What began as a bold thrust into sovereign territory ended in humiliation, as NATO forces turned the village into a symbol of defiance and tactical supremacy.

Russian PMC operatives, supported by integrated combat and logistics teams, deployed into the conflict zone equipped with Kamaz-53949 Typhoon-K MRAPs. These 4×4 mine-resistant vehicles offer advanced protection and mobility, designed to withstand ambushes and IED threats while delivering troops deep into contested urban terrain. Their stabilised remote weapon stations and sealed NBC environments make them formidable assets in asymmetric warfare.

Special thanks to @sabotag3d.bsky.social for his invaluable support in bringing this project to life.

28mm Russian 2S1 Gvozdik self-propelled howitzer. 3D printed at 1/50 scale. Initially introduced in 1972, it is based on the MT-LBu multi-purpose chassis, mounting a 122 mm 2A18 howitzer. "2S1" is its GRAU designation. The vehicle still remains in service today.
