I'll get round to writing some thoughts on my 'blog. But any Sengoku version I come up with is unlikely to be typically 'samurai.' So no tetsubos and no-dachis, no clan traits, no challenges and no 'bushido' stuff. I'm also currently playing it on a square grid (because it's much quicker to move stuff around when testing things out), and may end up keeping it (because I like grids....), which also isn't usually very popular. In fact, there isn't currently much about the version I'm playing that has any typical 'samurai' elements.
The 'army morale' thing might be useful, as I think FP needs that kind of thing if you don't have a time-limit scenario, so I'll try and describe how that works.
