You mean somebody does make some bad ones? i've never seen any at all, good or bad. If there are some out there could you point me in their direction?

you are right - and I am syntactically wrong! What I meant is that all that is available are generic North Africans/Arabs and Woodbine's WWI Arabs in Ottoman service which can be somewhat modified as Muhafizia.. but nobody makes specific Senussi troops.. so here is your chance folks..

I’d love to see comparison shots of these along with the figures from Brigade Games Great War in Africa, and Copplestone’s Middle East British.

My Empress British infantry dispatched today so I should be able to provide that when they arrive next week or thereabouts.

Without having the miniatures in hand yet, I believe it is reasonably safe to say that the Empress range will fall in-between BG and Copplestone Castings. Being 32/33mm rather than 28, the latter will tower the other two ranges, being much taller, chunkier and toting massive (and slightly cartoonish) weapons. Looking at Paul Hicks' current work, I suspect the Empress figures will be either the same height as the Brigade Games or a bit taller, but slimmer and more realistically proportioned. Rifles and bayonets (especially the latter) will most likely be more in scale than with the BG miniatures.

I hate being pedantic (ha, no I don't, you know that!), but if the Jazz Age range wanders into WW1 is it misnamed? Do people include WW1 in the term "Jazz Age?" I wouldn't actually know, I can't stand Jazz and know very little about it.  :)

Another hater of Jazz & pedantic to boot! What a fine fellow.
Still I look forward to it 'Wandering into WW1' especially as it was
Mr Eaglestone who recommended I get the book 'Tip & Run' (WW1
in East Africa).  For the painting of giraffes & zebra alone I hate him.

Another hater of Jazz

Anyone who hates jazz clearly has no soul! Whether it is Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Dizzie Gillespie, Miles Davis or even Kenny Ball it is a most wondrous form of music!  :D

Well I feel the same way about Buck Owens, but I try not to judge people too harshly just because they don't like the same things I do. :)

It would in deed be a dull world, if we all liked the same things.

A partially unrelated question for Paul (as it concerns IDM) : will the GAPS codes listed as "newly released" on the Iron Duke website but not present in the Empress shop yet be released in the next few days or will they wait until January to see the light of day ? The ones I have in mind are the Scinde campaign additions - Sir Charles Napier and staff, British standard bearers and officer, EIC irregular horse, and so on.
