I'm looking at up-scaling a 1/100 3D printed Ford/Chev 3t GS for my Portee.
Cheers,

Thanks, guys !

I'm looking at up-scaling a 1/100 3D printed Ford/Chev 3t GS for my Portee.
Yes, it can be the solution, but I'm not on 3D design/printing, and you will have to add tons of details for a 1/56 scale model.
So I work in the old ways, and I've done some minor conversions.

I've received some minis from Empress yesterday, so I know have to paint my Italians.
And I must finish converting the french legionnaries with all the heads received from JJG Prints.
My blog, for personnal and commission work, and sometimes other things too => http://studiocaillou.blogspot.fr/

What else can I add that hasn't already been said?

Superb looking paint jobs, unusual vehicle, great conversions and a really interesting period to be modelling. I have long wanted to do something for Syria 1941, but was stuck on the French, so your post has given me some inspiration, especially as I had not come across JJG Prints before.  Will check out the heads!

Thans for comments, guys.

especially as I had not come across JJG Prints before.  Will check out the heads!

JJG Prints have a really good choice of heads, and they fit perfectly with WG or Artizan minis.
If you want other size, you can just ask Jean-Jacques.

For the legionnaries, we had some exchanges on the size of the heads, as WG metal minis are smaller than the plastic 8th Army minis.
But finally, I've decided to go with the standard size.

These are great to see and as others have said, beautifully painted. I did the masters for a number of the French and Italian vehicles for Perry Miniatures, so am always on the lookout to see them being used as I know they're not the most popular armies to collect.

The Tanake was one of my earlier models and I'm glad you're happy with it as I think i'd build the master differently second time around. I hope to see at least a Pavesi in the Italians and possibly the 90/53 Autocannone as these two have to be my favourites. Michael Perry does have the masters to build a truck-bodied Lancia but might need some more persuasion to issue that model, I think his focus is currently elsewhere!

All the best,

John
