My Old School Figs w New School Rules AWI project
« on: January 04, 2021, 07:02:56 PM »
Just finished a 2-post battle, using One-Hour Wargames and my latest AmRev set of rules which I'm tentatively calling "Zeal & Bayonets".

Using Old-school Scruby 30mm figures at about a 1:15 / 1:20 ratio. They recently came into my hands and am really enjoying them.
"The U.S. Army's mission is to fight and win the nation's wars,
and its vision is to be a global force that fights at the scale required."

Sir, I respectfully suggest 1/56 & 1/100 as the best scales in which to fight...!

Those bring back memories.  I used to play with a group in South Jersey in the early 70s who had huge armies of Scruby 30mm AWI.  Home brewed rules as I recall.  Always great fun.

They probably know the guys I got them from - they are from SE Pennsylvania, and have been gaming since the 70s using their home-brewed rules!

Got info from Historifigs regarding the 30mm Scruby line. I hope to do a review on what he has spinning around soon. High on my list are some mounted officers, and Indians.

Anyone have thoughts on other comparable sized figs and how to get them?

thanks in advance.
