Yes, I recently read the same thing about a series. If its Last Kingdom quality Ill be thrilled!

God I hated the Last Kingdom (and I love the books) I hope they do better than that! Maybe I’ll try again as a few people have sung it’s praises but I couldn’t get more than a few episodes in, between the anachronistic weapons and costume and wooden acting I gave up.

Kids can certainly bring down your hobbytime, I am currently expereincing this situation with my granddaughter.

I didn’t see the opening post as a text dump, I read it as flavour that set the scene for the very nice minis that followed.
