Work on the gaming board continues with the Port of Gierburg Part 1: A Water Board.

The above blog post describes a somewhat painful way of creating a water section for double use as part of a port as well as a board for piratey boarding action scenarios. Also features a product tip for styrofoam suitable colour spray and an underwhelming experience with Vallejo Foam & Snow effect. Enjoy.

So I found a solution for what to use as the gaming table itself: IKEA stuff!

Love it! Gierburg's been years in the making but it's such an inspirational project. I really like the way you do the pale mortar under the grey stonework; it looks extremely natural.
