I’m a bit squeamish...
If you want more techno figures for Zombies, what about Crooked Dice's Robo-Minions (with or without Disco Space Pants):
https://crooked-dice.co.uk/product/robo-minions/
I have a couple painted but only this photograph.

More thoughts on Quarantine 37.
The really good idea is the mini-solo campaign - you create a full ten man team and then split it into a Captain's half team and a First Mate's half team. There are then two sets of two scenarios - each half has its own sub campaign (one zombies, the other bugs). This is a great idea for an introductory game, mini-participation game or fun to play during the next Quarantine. And on a two foot by two foot board.

The "zombies" are interestingly designed and certainly will make for some fun games (the optional reanimation rules and - in a campaign -potential that previously wounded soldiers can turn are worth including).

Regular zombie, or Bloater?
(Crooked Dice Arc Astronaut)

Next off on a bug hunt...

Thanks for the suggestion. I had a look but they are a bit too gross for my tastes. I’m a bit squeamish...

They are definitely horror as much as scifi, true.

Same goes for Privateer's Cryx Mechanithralls, Bile Thralls, and Cephalyx Drudges, unfortunately.  More zombie than Borg.

Not Stargrave Figures (and extracted from a 2014 photograph).

Crooked Dice Scientists (and Failed Experiment) might be useful.

So the first painted figure from the Stargrave Crew box.

With the days getting shorter, it is down to the weekend  for undercoating and photographing - if the weather gets better...

At SELWG last week I bought an armed shuttle from Sammy Scenics.

The bits on the right are a scanner turret and dish that plugs int to hole above the wing.
3D Printed (and the cockpit and body are hollow - but inaccessible) with only minor print lines.

Not quite sure who Vando is, but he has fitted the shuttle out with four cannons in a pod on the right wing, plus another two on the hull roof.

They have a number of other interesting vehicles/spacecraft.

Unfortunately the URL on the packaging does not connect to a valid site and my Google-Fu did not provide me with an alternative.

I picked up the recent Wargames Atlantic Cannon Fodder box at SELWG 2021.

Comparison with a Stargrave Trooper.

Sprue picture:

There are four different heads (helmet, kepi, Barehead with explosive collar, and full face mask) and lasrifle equivalents.

Vando is the Vandolorian from the new(ish) Star Wars series on Disney+.

I’m fairly sure that you bought a 3D print of this STL file

https://imperialterrain.com/products/vandos-ship-digital-stl-file?_pos=3&_sid=595192165&_ss=r

That website also has STL files for a few different ships that could exist in the Star Wars universe as well as a link to 3D printers who can print and ship them if you don’t have access to your own 3d printer.

Thanks, you are very probably right, they had a number of other vehicles on that site.

I was interested that the hull was in two pieces in the one I bought. I assume it depends upon your printer.

So here is the first of the metal Zombies painted.

Size comparison with one of the plastic crewmen.

The crew man is based for a desert world, the zombie for a research station.

Now I have to build some more.

Some good models here UVS, and some really good miniature comparisons too!

Have you considered the Mantic sci-fi zombies at all? They're hard plastic, multipart, obviously sci-fi, and look like they'd be a great match for the Stargrave plastics. They also do some "Plague Troopers" in hard plastic, but they might look a bit too much like mutants with tattered weapons (which they are!) to be good Zombies.

They're a nice kit, well worth a look.  Somewhat modular in terms of how you can put them together, although nowhere near as varied as the North Star crew figs are.

Thanks.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Mantic figures. The Plague Troopers will be useful for Q37.

I had a look for Mantic Plague Zombies and Troopers at Salute - they are a bit rare at the moment due to the new version of DeadZone coming out. I might have to enter the 21st Century and order them online ^__^.
