Haven't had the chance to go through this before. It's quite a unique setting by the looks of it! Take it you've not had the chance to play yet?

No, unfortunately no test games. Gaming club is starting to open back up as restrictions have lifted here, but so far it has been mostly Frostgrave that's been in demand.

Alright, here we go. First three units painted for the second force. I call these the Duchy of Staaren and picture them a little bit like a peasant rebellion come into arms and armour through defeating the forces of a larger Kingdom.

Full force:

Shock troops:

Line infantry:

Commander with Bodyguards

What do you think?

You're on a roll here, thats about a third of an army for your second faction done already.
Very impressive  :)

My purchases have arrived, so I'll be starting a (much slower moving) sludge project too.

They look great. Your painting style suits the post-apocalyptic theme really well.

At a pinch, looks like these could be more or less used for double duty in SAGA Napoleonics (if that ever comes about) or other powder-era games, so I imagine you'll get good use out of them.

Great work on your second faction - the combination of the Perry WoTR and Nap figures works so well.

Thanks all!

Tyr - You're right. Could maybe even use as Great Kingdom with muskets in Age of Magic.

Incredible project log! I was thinking if I get into Sludge I'd like to kitbash with the Perry zulu range and create an African inspired nation. They look incredible! I really like the weathered bronze armor.

Just a small update today. I'm plugging away at some more infantry and a cannon for the Duchy, but didn't get any build pictures of those.

I did however get a photo of these three Arcanists, which are kitbashed from Frostgrave Wizards II and some French napoleonic bits. I used the same head for all three as I liked the hat, and I think for fluff these might be triplets or even clones.

Nice idea - but when I had the same issue (accidentally) I decided that the cult wore identical masks of their deity and so hid their true identities.

They work very well - the shear flexibility of the plastic kits is amazing
