Somewhere in the British occupied province of Chilli, China 1883.

Major Allan Farquar-Farquarson VC, hero of the battles of Shere Bridge and Kew Gardens opened his eyes at the sound of birds chirping outside. He gently lifted his head from the pillow and eased himself out of bed trying not to awaken his companion.

He quietly tiptoed to the window and pulled back the blind. The room was flooded with a sudden blaze of light from the red sun rising above the horizon.
"Farquarson San, What you doing?" murmured his partner. Allan turned his head and looked at the slight figure laying in the bed.

She lay there exposed from where he had pulled back the sheet, her soft flesh almost white in colour and the sight of her long raven black hair excited him greatly, but perhaps it was the fact that she was niece to the emperor of Japan that thrilled him the most.

"God, I love the east" he muttered to himself as he hurridly returned to bed...

Also, and I do hate to point it out, but you’ve spelt ‘storm’ wrong in the title. And shouldn’t it be ‘over’ rather than ‘in’?

Unless, of course, ‘strom’ is some new type of oriental drug I’m not aware of?
